"Rethinkinking Boundaries"
A research seminar with Professor Natalie Zemon Davis
at OSA Archives (32 Arany Janos street) at 11:00-13:00 on Friday, October 26

On the occasion of the annual Natalie Zemon Davis Lecture series, professor Davis will spend some time at the CEU, and as  usual, will lead a methodological, historiographical seminar for students of the University.
This year's seminar will be based on a lecture, Professor Davis gave at Dartmouth last year, on trespassing social, ethnic, cultural and especially religious boundaries, and how to rethink both the history and meaning of crossing boundaries; how to write history both from "within and without", how to capture interconnections, and crossings between religions, alliances, affinities, cultures and continents.
Reading the text: "Rethinking Boundaries: Doing History of Religion Over Sixty Years" in preparation for the seminar, is warmly recommended.
