Anna Mazanik

Anna Mazanik is a historian of imperial Russia and the Soviet Union, specializing in urban history, environmental history and the history of medicine and public health. After earning her Ph.D. in Comparative History from CEU, she was a postdoctoral fellow at the Herder Institute, New Europe College and the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science. In 2016, Anna Mazanik joined Blinken OSA where she curates Soviet collections. Her specific research interests include urban public health and transnational municipalism in imperial Russia, history of animal diseases, Russian environmental law and environmentalism in Soviet media.
