The Department of History offers source language courses at several levels (Ancient Greek, Arabic, Bosnian/Croatian/Serbia, Classical Syriac, Latin, Modern Hebrew, Ottoman Turkish, Persian,Russian, Turkish, Yiddish). Beginner and intermediate levels are offered jointly with the Source Language Teaching Unit, while advanced reading classes are offered by faculty members with relevant linguistic expertise.
