Guest speaker Judith Karpati is a senior lecturer at the Jewish Theological Seminary – University of Jewish Studies, where she teaches Tanakh, Modern Hebrew, and Jewish – Arab Coexistence. She earned her PhD degree in Judaic Sciences here in 2009. She is also a graduate from the Senior Educators Program at the Melton Centre for Jewish Education, Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her main research interests include History of the Jews in Arab Countries, Importance of the Jewish Ritual Bath, and Magic in the Talmud.
