I am a researcher and curator in visual culture and media arts. Graduating in art history and philosophy (University of Zagreb), I continued studying art theory (Jan Van Eyck Akademie, Maastricht) and cultural analysis, theory and interpretation (University of Amsterdam). I was awarded PhD in aesthetics of photography (University of Rijeka).
The recent books I have published are The age of total images (Institute of Network Cultures, Amsterdam, in print), Fotografija kao dokaz (Multimedijalni intitut, Zagreb, 2017) Culture of the Selfie (Institute for Networked Cultures, Amsterdam, 2017), I am also an editor of readers after large exhibition projects, such as; Smuggling Anthologies (Museum of Modern and Contemporary Arts, Rijeka, 2015), Victims Symptom – PTSD and Culture (Institute for Networked Cultures, Amsterdam, 2009) and others. My essays in cultural magazines as Springerin, Pavilion, Art and Education Papers, and readers by Afterimage, Loecker Verlaag, P.A.R.A.S.I.T.E, were compiled in Sub/versions (Revolver, Split / Berlin, 2007).
I am teaching at programs of MA Media Art Histories, as well as on MA Media Art Cultures, a program by ERASMUS MUNDUS, by University of Danube in Krems, as an external faculty member and visiting researcher.
