Colloquy on Romani Holocaust at Bard College Followed by Mozart's Requiem Friday, October 17, 2014

Conceived of by Hungarian conductor Ádám Fischer, who conduct the Requiem Mass, the event explored issues of history and responsibility. The panel discussion was moderated by Bard President Leon Botstein, and included Ádám Fischer and three figures from the fields of history, human rights, and international law: Constantin Iordachi, associate professor of history, Central European University, Budapest; Margareta Matache, instructor, Harvard University; and Erika Schlager, counsel for international law, U.S. Commission for Security and Cooperation in Europe.

The Panel discussion was followed by a performance of the Mozart Requiem by more than 70 musicians from the Bard College Conservatory Orchestra, Bard Graduate Vocal Arts Program, Bard College Chamber Singers, and members of the chorus of the Longy School of Music of Bard  College.
