Cities and Science: Urban History and the History of Science in the Study of Early Modern and Modern Europe

Postgraduate Summer Course –  Central European University, Budapest, Hungary, 18 July - 27 July, 2016

This course (http://summeruniversity.ceu.edu/citiesandscience-2016) will explore new approaches in the history of science and urban history by inviting renowned scholars from both fields as well as graduate students to take part in an ongoing conversation about scientific knowledge and urban space.

The application deadline is February 14, 2016.

The program encourages applications from high-achieving MA and PhD students from fields including, but not limited to history, cultural or social anthropology, environmental studies, gender studies, literature, science and technology studies, sociology, and urban studies. While the summer school will have a distinct interdisciplinary and trans-epochal character, potential participants should demonstrate historical awareness and general interest in history. Undergraduates without a university degree will not be considered.
