This award recognizes outstanding research output by CEU faculty.
Dr Iordachi receives the prize in recognition, among others, of his monograph Liberalism, Constitutional Nationalism and Minorities: The Making of Romanian Citizenship, 1780-1918 (Brill), which is a definitive account of the history of Romanian citizenship during the "long" 19th century. In addition to this book, Dr Iordachi has contributed to a number of high prestige edited collections on the topic of citizenship as well as in the fields of comparative fascist studies and comparative history in general.
