Slam Academy II. (in Hungarian) on the Trianon memorial with Hungarian slammers from the neighbouring countries

You are all warmly welcome, to the second event of the Slam Academy on the 2nd of June, Sunday from 6 to 8 PM in the CEU Auditorium, in Hungarian (several further events of the series will be in English). The event is free and open to the public, registration is not required, but it helps to plan the event if you register in email to bari_bence@phd.ceu.edu. The event is organized by the CEU History Department, with the participation of the Slam Poetry Hungary Association and Foldalatti Slam.
The second event of the Slam Academy will be about the Trianon memorial that the Hungarian government is preparing, with Hungarian slammers from the neighbouring countries: André Ferenc, Gömöri Eszter, Laboda Róbert, Melecsky Kristóf, Gyenge Veroni; and historians: Bari Bence László, Gerő András, Egry Gábor, Kovács Éva és Wessely Anna (and speakers, who support the government`s plan, to be confirmed). This event will be followed up by an event in English, with the participation of historians and slammers from the majorities of the neighbouring countries.
The founder, editor and host of the Slam Academy is Peter Molnar, Hungarian and European Slam Poetry Champion.
The Slam Academy is a monthly discussion on controversial historical, artistic, human rights and environmental questions, always from historical perspective, and the invited speakers will include members of the CEU community as well as slammers. Some related slam poetry will be performed at each occasion.
At the opening event, the five Hungarian slam poetry champion will be on stage together for the first time, to discuss the social role of slam poetry, and to perform some of their winning slams.
The aim of the Slam Academy is to contribute to the intellectual strength of the slam poetry movement (through the English language events also internationally), and to a sustainable dialogue in the Hungarian society and the Hungarian minorities around Hungary (who are naturally involved in the Hungarian slam poetry community), building also on the self-reflexivity of this participatory artistic genre.
A CEU Történelem Tanszékének (CEU History Department) szervezésében, a Slam Poetry Magyarország SLAM POETRY MAGYARORSZÁG Egyesület, és a Földalatti Slam részvételével,
a Slam Akadémia 2. estjén, a kormány által tervezett Trianon emlékmű lesz a téma, határon túlról való magyar slammerek: André Ferenc, Gömöri Eszter, Laboda Róbert, Melecsky Kristóf, Gyenge Veroni, és történészek: Bari Bence László, Gerő András, Egry Gábor, Kovács Éva és Wessely Anna (és remélhetőleg a kormány tervét támogató előadók) részvételével. Ezt az eseményt egy angol nyelvű is fogja követni, a környező országok többségéből való történészek és slammerek bevonásával.
A Slam Akadémia alapítója, szerkesztője és házigazdája: Molnar Péter, magyar és európai slam poetry bajnok.
A Slam Akadémia havonta tartott beszélgetéssorozat, vitatott történelmi, művészeti, emberi jogi és környezetvédelmi kérdésekről, az utóbbi témákról is történelmi távlatból. Természetesen a slamről is szó lesz, és néhány kapcsolódó témájú szöveg előadása része lesz minden estnek.
A live stream révén minden alkalom élőben bárhonnan követhető lesz. A tervek szerint pár havonta angol nyelvű estek az egész európai és azon túli slam közösséghez is szólnak majd, ezzel is bővítve a magyar slam hozzájárulását a műfaj terjedéséhez és szépüléséhez.
A Slam Akadémia célja többek között:
- a slamközösség, beleértve ebbe a közönséget is, szellemi hátterének erősítése,
- a Magyarországon és az összmagyar közösségen belüli, más anyanyelvűek felé is nyitott közbeszélgetés, párbeszéd életre keltése, aztán fenntartása, a határon túlról való magyarokat is teljesen természetesen magában foglaló slam közösségre jellemző önreflexivitásra is építve.
