Master Class by Joan Scott

 In the framework of the annual Natalie Zemon Davis lecture series, Joan W. Scott was a guest lecturer of the Department. As part of the event, students had the opportunity to take part in a master class by Professor Scott on 28 November.

Open University events at Kossuth Square

At the conclusion of 24 November "Tüntetés a Tudomány és az Oktatás Szabadságáért", the coalition, committed to the freedom of thought and education, remained on Kossuth Square. 

Our Department offered free courses and many of us attended the open lectures, musical performances, and cultural events.

Attacks on Academic Freedom in the US - an extra talk by Joan Scott

On Tuesday, November 27, 10.00 – 10.40 am, Joan Scott, Professor Emerita, Institute for Advanced Study (Princeton, NJ), will give a talk on “Attacks on Academic Freedom in the US” at the Open University at Kossuth Lajos ter.

This lecture is in addition to her NZD lectures and her talk on Wednesday Nov. 28, 17.30 on "Gender and Politics" in the Popper Room.
